Curriculum Development
The DBE’s national coding and robotics curriculum is structured as follows across the Foundation, Intermediate and Senior Phases:
The curriculum has been designed to develop the following competencies in learners:
Coding competencies
Robotics competencies
Digital concept competencies
Having worked alongside various other private sector partners and foundations since 2022 to support government’s pilot rollout of the coding and robotics curriculum in six of South Africa’s nine provinces, we are confident that our offering not only meets but exceeds the requirements of the national curriculum for coding and robotics.
As experts in the Project-Based Learning (PBL) space, we have created also created fully CAPS aligned teacher training with an added STEM and project-based learning focus, which we have successfully rolled out at Future Nation Schools, which is part of our holding company’s umbrella.
